Sarah and David's Wedding: 16th June
We were all at the hairdressers for 8am - Sarah and her three bridesmaids. It was Jennifer, who normally does my hair, so that great because although we had some rough ideas we just trusted her to make us all pretty! This is Sarah looking lovely already! We all used the big mirrors to do our make up while waiting - the others came in with small make up bags and I come in with a big vanity case full of stuff haha. I like to have options ;-)
I gave Sarah this locket with a picture of Frances Ann - Sarah had been wearing it since she got up - knowing Fran was close to her for the day. I did feel sad that Frances Ann wasn't there - she and Sarah were inseparable. Or double trouble is perhaps more apt! I am not sure we could have trusted Frances Ann with the serious bridesmaid duties though as she would just want to turn up for the party and do something silly like make Sarah laugh during the vows. We both knew she would be watching though :-)
Me and Andrew ready to leave. Dad took Sarah, Uncle Francis and us bridesmaids in the limo - wearing his wee drivers hat! The weather was horrendous with the rain and it was freezing, but we got dropped right at the door, so can't complain too much.
Mum and me - even I can see I look like my mum here!
Sarah and her dad making their entrance
Sarah and her new husband, David. David did not stop grinning all day :-) Sarah made all the wedding bouquets, which looked lovely. Talented lady.
With Eliott and Lewis (Sarahs nephews).
With the bridesmaids, Emma-Jane, me and Caroline, and best man Chris (Davids brother). Emma-Jane and Caroline went to school with Sarah. Caroline was really close to Frances Ann also, so I know Caroline from way back!
With the parents
Emma-Jane, Caroline and me

Cutting the cake! Lovely cake topper was from her Aunt and Uncles wedding - her uncle sadly not being with us any more, so it was lovely touch to remember him. The reception was at our local church hall and the caterers had done an amazing job with table covers, ribbons and decorations. It looked completely different and really lovely!
Caroline
Corey looking dapper. I think he needed a trilby to complete the look though...
Sarah made the table decorations. She had glass bowls, filled with purple gel crystals that expanded with water, with a wee underwater light and then the flower on top. They looked lovely on the tables, especially with the lights dimmed. This one is now sitting on my coffee table hahaha!
I made all the favours for the wedding. We decided on purple sugar almonds for the men and I made purple fimo butterflies for the ladies and put magnets on the back. I think they were quite cute if I do say so myself! I also did the table names on the same theme - naming each one after a butterfly species and did a table plan with the purple colours and butterfly decorations.
After the wedding and afternoon reception, we all headed back to Sarah's mum and dads for some more food and chat. It was a lovely chilled evening and a nice chance to catch up with everyone. Sarah and David then headed off to get organised for their early flight to Canada for their honeymoon. It was a lovely day, with a really nice atmosphere and I am really happy for both Sarah and David. Wishing them a very happy future together!!
